How to stop “Is my laundry ready?” calls and messages
By the Labahan team · October 18, 2026 · 3 min read
Every “Is my laundry ready?” call or chat takes a staff member away from the machines. Customers ask because they don’t know. Give them the answer before they need to ask.
1. Promise a ready time at drop-off
Write the ready time on the stub (“Ready by 5 PM tomorrow”), not just the date. Base it on how busy you actually are today, not your best day. If a load will be late, tell the customer before the promised time, not after.
2. Tell customers when it’s ready
A short “Ready na po!” message when you mark the load ready saves most of the calls. Do it as part of the job, the moment the bag goes on the ready shelf, not in a batch at the end of the day.
3. Let customers check by themselves
A QR code or link on the stub that shows the status (washing, drying, folding, ready) answers the question any time of day, even when the shop is closed.
4. Post your rules where customers see them
- Opening hours and cut-off time for same-day service
- Express service and its price
- How many days you keep unclaimed laundry, and any storage fee
- Accepted payments: cash, GCash, Maya
5. Set up a Messenger auto-reply
An instant reply on your Facebook page with your hours and a reminder to scan the QR on the stub answers many chats without anyone typing.
How Labahan helps
In Labahan Manager, every claim stub has a tracking QR. Customers see their load move from washing to ready, and get a “Ready na po!” notification when you mark it ready, with no SMS fees. Every load has a promised time, and late ones turn red on the Board so you can message the customer before they message you. Customers can also pay with GCash or Maya from the same page before pickup.
